Looking for a way to vamp up your table, without spending exorbitant amounts on extravagant floral arrangements? Adding specialty flatware, dishes, and glassware can be an alternate way to add personality and character to a table design!

These accents layer the tables with splashes of color and texture. For example, if you have blue tones in your linens, think about adding in complementary blue accents in a glass or a plate. You can also play on the textures by incorporating brass flatware on a farmhouse table, layered with white plates and a rose gold charger. The mix of metals and wood complement each other beautifully!

Vintage-inspired dishware is no longer just for your grandma’s house. Paired with a rustic floral arrangement, antique-looking dishware becomes chic.

When using these specialty accents, you can lighten up on the amount of flower arrangements. This allows the glasses and dishes to shine and be the focal point of your design or supplement beautiful floral arrangements. Although dishware and flatware is beautiful in traditional shades of white and cream, opting for a darker dish set to blend with a dark tabletop will make any floral arrangement pop (and photograph beautifully!).
