It was an honor to be a part of the fabulous Luxe Linen launch party at the Bel Air Bay Club a few months ago. I wanted to share my experience and inspiration behind creating this custom tabletop. Enjoy….
Inspiration for this shoot came from the linen itself. When I saw the indigo blue velvet, it reminded me of the south of France. The deep, rich blue reminding me of a late night soiree – like if you were with great group of friends and it’s midnight in Saint-Tropez. You’re sitting down to this beautiful, abundant table, and you have desserts, cheese, breads, wines – it’s a big party.
When designing your table, it’s all about picturing the experience of the guest. With this particular design, I was immediately inspired by this vision of a modern midnight feast at an eclectic table with a lot of decadence and abundance.
The mixed medium of the furs, leathers, and natural chairs softens the viewpoint of the table completely. I love to design with natural elements, incorporating that into the design and making sure there is a balance.
It all stems from this Luxe Linen, which is named Giana Indigo. The color is so pretty and really provided inspiration for the rest of the table design. I worked with Kim from Art by Nature and she kept it organic and beautiful. It definitely has dimension and diversity and I think that’s what makes it special and fun – a little Bohemian but still very elegant!
Thank you to all of the vendors who helped bring this vision to life!
