The biggest question that everyone is wondering is, “What will the new wedding trends be like in 2014?” After all, deciding the details for the most important day of your life creates the exciting process of wedding planning!
Here are some of the fresh new trends to expect in 2014:
DÉCOR:
Rich Jewel Tones: Nautical navy, rich aubergine, glowing emerald, warm shades of coffee and chocolate, and deep fuchsia with beautiful, softer accents. These lovely colors will create a dreamy feel and ambiance.
We will even see neutral colors such as beige or grey paired with offbeat color palettes like cool aqua and bright citruses.

The Laser Cut: This fun trend will prove popular on edgy invitations and other paper goods! Check out these beautiful works of art from B Wedding Invitations.
Elegance and Sophistication: This year will greatly focus on moving away from DIY and use classy and chic styles for luxurious décor, custom furniture, and lavish centerpieces. Form Décor offers stunning pieces that will work into the most sophisticated design schemes.
Flowers: The more the merrier! Romantic combinations that combine unique color creations and unexpected plant variations. From whimsical peonies and woodsy organic branches, to succulents and rose boutonnieres, to garden hydrangeas and ranunculus. GOWNS:
The all-white gown is taking a break and making room for beautiful gold, champagne, metallic, and pink wedding gowns to take center stage! These new colors will achieve the utmost flattery and elegance. The 2014 Monique Lhuillier below is the perfect example.
Sparkle! Everything will have bling including beaded gowns, décor, and bridesmaid dresses. Eugenia Couture designs stunning and unique gowns like the one below.
Who said hems have to be even? Hi-Low Gowns are coming out to play, and even wedding dress minis with shorter hemlines. How pretty is this Hayley Paige Wedding dress?!
Modern Lace Gowns: Lace always creates timeless and romantic gowns. This year we can expect to see lots of unique lace appliqués and other 3-D elements like feathers, flower pedals, ribbon and beautiful embroidery! This “Cypress” dress from BHLDN is pure romance.
HAIR & MAKEUP:
Hair: Romance! From graceful, soft pretty hair to lovely hair accessories, long flowing curls or sweet twisty up do’s, we can expect to see imaginative and endearing styles. Rustic braided headbands, low side-swept destination braids and edgy avant-garde side swept bangs will also be popular.
Makeup: A new year, a new makeup intensity. With berry lips and metallic gold eyes, and again, more sparkle!
Veils: Expect dramatic lengths for chic romantic weddings!
Accessories: Sparkly headbands and Gatsby-inspired embellishments.
